Crazy Booth + Facebook
Did my very first crazy booth recently at a wedding and decided to create a fun slideshow out of it. Not sure whether the participants found it fun, but I’m quite sure I looked as if I was on sugar high or something throughout cos I HAD FUN!! :p
Oh and by the way, I’ve created a Facebook Page. Just wanted to share more of my works and thought Facebook Page would be a nice platform to do so. Hope to see you there! :)
Weekend at Wakayama
Am here at the laptop, with the aircond turned on, fan at full speed, enjoying my cold Milo, thinking of my weekend in Wakayama. It was blazingly hot and all, but definitely a wonderful weekend. Think beach, seaside view café, paddy field, fireworks with the great company of friends (and dogs!). Here’s a sneak peak at some SOOCs. Will post up more photos soon! :)

Photography & Monkeys
If I’m reading another photographer’s blog bearing such a title, I would have automatically looked for some photos of monkeys. But, before you get your expectations high, there will be no photos of monkeys in this post. Not even a photo of a monkey soft toy or a monkey key chain.
It’s just about something I randomly came across the other day while watching Zack Arias’ online weekend workshop. It was the first time I learned about the terms “lightmonkey” and “chimping”.
Did you know that Einstein once referred to photographers as “lightmonkeys”? I personally find that a cute term even though Einstein definitely didn’t mean it to be cute when he said that. In contrast, according to this site, he didn’t really like photographers that much. He thought of photographers as unimaginative!
As for chimping, it actually means the action of photographers checking the display on the camera after shooting a picture. As for how it came about, here’s an excerpt taken from Wiki.
The phrase is most likely derived from comparison between the sounds and actions some make while reviewing images and those of an excited primate (Oooh! Oooh! Aaah!), or when a photographer is completely absorbed in the act of analyzing, admiring or proudly displaying a shot to others.
Anyway, found it amusing when I heard of the terms and just thought I’d have to share it here. :)
P.S. Now I can officially call my monkey photographer brother a lightmonkey!!
Project 365
Just a week ago, I started my 52 Breakfasts (project) – which is a much lighter version of the popular 365 project where one snaps a photo each day and posts it online. Little did I realize that just recently a wave of Project 365 was sparked in Malaysia too.
I was checking out updates of fellow photographers on my Twitter account, and started finding #365 popping up a lot in fellow Malaysians’ tweets. Following the trail, I landed myself at Thebackpackr.com.
TheBackpackr.com started Project 365: A photo a day for 2010 and invited everyone to join him. And as you can see from the list at TheBackpackr.com, many have decided to join him in this one year long journey.
Here are a few examples from the list. Enjoy!

Loving Autumn
One thing I know I will miss for sure when I return to Malaysia is autumn. I just simply love it so very much. Even though it could be chilly, autumn brings so much warmth with its colours. There are of course the passionate red maple leaves and the bright yellow gingko leaves (which will be up on this stream soon) but even little things like the berries here just make my day.
More autumn pics coming up soon, so stay tuned! :)
